Ask your assistant to write a tab, rework a few bars, transpose a piece or find one in the catalog, then play the result in Cesure. You add Cesure once, as a custom connector, with this address:
https://api.cesure.app/mcp
Claude
Add Cesure to Claude
Custom connectors are open on every Claude plan; the free plan holds one. On claude.ai or in the desktop app:
Open Customize › Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Cesure, paste https://api.cesure.app/mcp as the remote MCP server URL, and click Continue.
Keep the authentication Claude detects and click Continue; under Authentication choose Sign in when needed (or Sign in now to link your Cesure account right away), then click Add.
In a conversation, turn Cesure on from the + button, under Connectors.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector in the organization settings, then each member connects it. Anthropic's guide: custom connectors.
ChatGPT
Add Cesure to ChatGPT
ChatGPT accepts your own server on the plans and workspaces where OpenAI allows it, sometimes once developer mode is turned on in its settings. On chatgpt.com:
Open Plugins, click +, then Add custom MCP server.
Name it Cesure, and under Connection paste https://api.cesure.app/mcp as the public endpoint.
Choose OAuth for the authentication, read the warning, then select I understand and want to continue and Create as a plugin.
Install it, start a new conversation, type @ and pick Cesure.
Which plans can do it, and where developer mode is, move with OpenAI's beta: OpenAI's guide.
What it does
What your assistant can do with Cesure
Write a score
Tab or standard notation, notes by fret or by pitch, in the open .cesure format.
Rework bars
It reads the bars you name and rewrites them, the other tracks following along. One step of undo.
Transpose and refinger
Up to 24 semitones either way; notes placed on the neck again, with a capo if one helps.
Search the catalog
Free classical guitar pieces, by title or composer, in English, French or Spanish.
Open it in Cesure
A link opens the score in the app, no account needed; in ChatGPT and Claude a player can also show up right in the conversation.
Your library
With your account linked: the list of your scores, opening one, saving a new one or saving its changes over one, and organizing your tags.
What it does not do
Limits, and your account
No audio. Turning a recording into a tab happens in the app, from a sound.
No score is deleted. It never deletes a score (only tags no score carries, when you ask), and never touches your account: email, password, subscription.
Without your account, it sees none of your scores. It works on a draft that Cesure keeps 14 days after its last use, and opens it with a link.
With your account, Cesure asks you to sign in on cesure.app and to allow the assistant, when you add the connector or the first time a request needs your library. Your plan's limits apply as in the app.
Examples
Things to ask
“Write a C, Am, F, G strumming pattern in 4/4 as a guitar tab and open it in Cesure.”
“Find Lágrima in the Cesure catalog and open it.”
“Take my score Romance from Cesure, transpose it down a whole tone and save it as a new score.”
“In measures 5 to 8, replace the chords with arpeggios, then let me hear it.”
Unlink
Unlink an assistant
In Cesure, open Me, find Linked assistants and choose Unlink: the assistant loses access to your scores at once. You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude.
The connector will not link, a score does not open, a tool answers something you did not expect: write to contact@cesure.app, saying which assistant you use and what you asked it.
