Terms of Sale

Last updated: October 2026

These terms of sale govern what Cesure sells: a score from the marketplace and the Cesure Pro subscription. They complement the Terms & Conditions (cesure.app/terms). The French version is the authoritative one; the English and Spanish versions are translations of it.

The seller:

  • Every sale made on the web is made with Cesure, the seller of record: Xavier PELTIER, sole proprietor, SIREN 918 506 528, VAT FR50 918 506 528, 5 rue Saint-Georges, 35690 Acigné, France, contact@cesure.app. The details are in the Legal Notice (cesure.app/legal-notice). A Pro subscription taken on the App Store or Google Play is sold by that store, under its own terms.
  • A marketplace score is the work of its creator, named on its page. Cesure sells it in its own name, under the license the creator grants it (cesure.app/creator-terms): Cesure is the one who takes the payment, answers complaints and refunds.
  • Score sales currently run in test mode: no real payment is taken there. These terms will apply to them when real sales open. The Pro subscription is already on sale.

What you buy:

  • A score you buy gives you the personal, non-exclusive right to read it, play it, edit it and export it for your own use. It does not allow you to resell it, redistribute it or share it publicly.
  • The score's page states before the purchase what you receive: the score in your library, editable, with Cesure's exports, under the same rules as your own scores — .cesure, MusicXML, MIDI and AlphaTex included, PDF with a watermark without Pro, WAV audio with Pro.
  • The score opens in Cesure, on the web, on Android and on iPhone; its exports open in any software that reads those formats. It needs nothing installed outside Cesure.
  • A free preview of a few measures, chosen by the creator, can be heard and read before the purchase.
  • Cesure Pro, monthly or yearly, unlocks the features described in the Terms & Conditions.

Price and payment:

  • A score's price is set in euros and includes Cesure's service fee. Its page shows it with all taxes included as estimated for your country; the VAT Cesure must collect — France's 20%, or that of your country within the European Union under the rules in force, none outside it — is worked out at payment, and the exact total is shown before you pay.
  • The price of Cesure Pro is shown in the app before purchase; it may vary by country and store.
  • On the web, you pay on Stripe's secure payment page; Cesure never receives or stores your card details. In the Android and iOS apps, Cesure Pro is bought through Google Play or the App Store, under their own terms.
  • A score is bought with a Cesure account: on the web through Stripe, in the Android and iOS apps through Google Play or the App Store, under their own terms. In the apps its price, higher than online to cover the store's commission, is shown before purchase.

Delivery and access:

  • A score is delivered immediately once the payment is confirmed, in the "Purchases" tab of your library, on the web, on Android and on iPhone, with the same account.
  • It stays yours as long as your account exists, except for a removal by Cesure described below: you can reopen it and export it again whenever you like.
  • A paid purchase does not count toward the free plan's quota.

Updates and versions:

  • What the creator sells is a frozen version of their score. When they publish a new one, "Purchases" tells you, and "Update" gets it for you when you choose, never automatically.
  • If you edit the score you bought, your changes become "My version", kept apart: an update never overwrites it.

Right of withdrawal:

  • A score is digital content supplied immediately: it opens no right of withdrawal. Before paying, you tick a box by which you ask for immediate access and expressly waive your right of withdrawal (article L221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code). Without this box, the payment does not open, and the date of your consent is recorded with the payment.
  • Cesure Pro subscribed on the web: you have 14 days from subscribing to withdraw. During those 14 days, the "Withdraw from the contract here" button, on the Subscription screen of the web app, does it in two steps; you can also write to contact@cesure.app. Pro starts right away only at your express request: you tick the box provided before paying, and the date of your request is recorded with the subscription. If you withdraw, the subscription ends at once and Cesure refunds, to the day, the part of the last paid period you did not use (article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code); during the free trial nothing was paid, so nothing is refunded. An acknowledgement of receipt is sent to you by email.
  • Any unambiguous statement is enough. You can also use the model withdrawal form (article R221-1 of the French Consumer Code): "To Cesure, Xavier PELTIER, 5 rue Saint-Georges, 35690 Acigné, France, contact@cesure.app. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: Cesure Pro subscription, subscribed on (date). Name: (your name). Address: (your address). Date: (date sent)."
  • A subscription taken on the App Store or Google Play follows that store's rules, and the store refunds under its own policy.

Refunds:

  • A score paid twice by the same account is refunded automatically.
  • A score that does not match its page, or cannot be read, can be reported with "Report this score" or at contact@cesure.app. Cesure looks into the request and refunds when the error is established.
  • You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content: two years from supply for a score, the whole subscription for Cesure Pro (articles L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code).
  • Outside these cases and the removal described below, a purchased score is not refunded, withdrawal being excluded.
  • Cesure Pro: cancelling ends future renewals, and access remains until the end of the period already paid. A subscription taken on the App Store or Google Play is refunded under that store's policy.

Removal of a score:

  • If its creator withdraws it from sale, you keep your copy and the versions already published.
  • If Cesure removes it for infringing someone's rights or for illegal content, your access is cut — the creator's version as well as "My version" — and your payment is refunded in full, with nothing for you to do.
  • When buying in the iPhone app exists, Apple will not let Cesure refund it itself: upon a removal, access will be cut and Cesure will invite you to ask Apple for the refund.

Proof of purchase:

  • Each purchase appears in "Purchases", with its date and the version you hold.
  • Each purchase made on the web comes with a Stripe payment receipt and a numbered invoice, sent to your account's email address, and with a confirmation email from Cesure that restates the score, its version, its price including VAT and the date of your waiver of the right of withdrawal.

Complaints:

  • Any complaint goes to contact@cesure.app.

Personal data:

  • The data Cesure processes for a purchase is described in the Privacy Policy (cesure.app/privacy).

Governing law:

  • These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country as a consumer, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory rules.
  • The terms that apply to a purchase are those in force on the day of that purchase.
